We have a four bedroom attached home 2 miles away from Cal State Fullerton, Hope International University, and the American Language Institute. The community has a shared pool and basketball court. There is a bus route not too far from our house. It's about 1.8 miles to other shopping and restaurants. Amazon will deliver most items to our home or to a secure locker across the main road at the City Hall. Our family consists of the mother and father, a 23 year old recent college graduate, and another child who is a sophomore at Fullerton College. The room for rent belongs to our 3rd daughter who is leaving for college at the end of August 2025. The room for rent shares a bathroom with our son, the sophomore attending Fullerton College. Our 23 year old daughter studied abroad in Korea and Japan and can speak both languages well. She is also learning Thai and Chinese. We are looking for a female traveler for this homestay. This year is very busy for us and we will not be able to provide meals for you. You can cook meals and have groceries delivered to the house. We are not far from Disneyland, Angel Stadium, parks, and theaters. Students with proof of enrollment can get a free bus pass, but it takes 1-2 weeks to arrive by mail (order on-line). Using Uber or Lyft transportation apps to get around is also popular. We can help you get set up on transportation apps and food delivery apps as well. Our oldest daughter loves dancing, going out, and learning crafts. Her pets are 2 Guinae Pigs that have their own room. She has a long work day, but can offer to tour local attractions with you. 25% Deposit can be made made through the Homestay's website. Balance due upon arrival in local currency USD.
No smoking! No drugs including marijuana even though it is legal in California. No overnight guests. Quiet hours are from 10 pm-6 a.m. We are awake early. No showers longer than 20 minutes. No watching movies and checking emails while you sit on the toilet. Do your business then exit the bathroom. Please shut lights, computer, etc to conserve electricity when you go out. Please do not plug all your devices into 1 outlet. There are several different outlets throughout the bedroom. Please provide your own personal hygiene products. We provide the use of bedding and towels. Please do not adjust the thermostat. Please shut doors and windows when the air conditioning is running. Please be respectful of the guinae pigs. Do not feed or handle them without supervision. Please do not eat and drink full meals upstairs. Light snacks and water are fine. Please remove your trash twice a week from the bedroom. Please return to your laundry as soon as possible to move it through the process. Please hang out with the family and chat with us. We do not bite.
