International student homestay for females only in the Maillardville area of Coquitlam. No pets. No smoking. English is the main language spoken in the home. I have 17 years of homestay experience. You can trust me to assist you and provide you with a safe and comfortable place to live while you study in Canada. Two clean and comfortable rooms available starting in August 2024. Each room is single occupancy and fully furnished. Rooms have wood floors, a single bed with clean linens, closet storage space, a beside table, a lockable door for privacy, desk, chair, and lamp. WiFi and other utilities (water, heat, electricity) included. Accommodation includes laundry once per week per person. Simple breakfast included in price. Additional meals (lunch and dinner) can be included for an additional cost. The home is owned by a busy professional worker with a full-time job (who often works from home), and is wanting to assist students studying abroad to help them feel supported as they get more comfortable living in a new area. I'm happy to help you as much as I can. The townhome is conveniently located just steps away from a bus stop (just outside the townhouse), and also walking distance to Superstore, lots of restaurants, lovely parks, a recreation centre with tennis courts, Cineplex movie theatre, and a short bus ride to the Braid Skytrain Station which can connect you easily and quickly around the lower mainland. SFU University and FIC are the closest universities/colleges for international students. Easy and direct bus trip to Douglas College in Coquitlam and to Coquitlam Town Centre shopping centre.

House rules will be provided to student upon booking, but these are the main ones: - No smoking, alcohol, drugs, or pets in the home. - Mature students only. - Violation of any Canadian laws will result in the homestay contract termination without a refund. - No strangers are to be brought to the home at any time. - Shoes to be removed at the door. - No dripping wet items (umbrellas, shoes, towels, etc.) to be brought into the bedroom. Don't get floors wet otherwise they'll get damaged. - Bathroom can be shared between 2 students so be respectful and clean up after yourself. Keep bathroom countertops and floors clean and dry. - No eating in bedrooms. - Bedrooms will be vacuumed by host once per week and bathroom will be cleaned by host once per week. - Laundry will be done once per week per person when host is home. - Before leaving the home, close windows and ensure you arm the security system and lock the door behind you. - Quiet time after 10:00pm. - No damage to the home. A small damage deposit is required for long-term stays which will be returned to you once your homestay has ended, provided there is no damage to the property.
