Helpful, Relaxed, Friendly We are a friendly family, we enjoy getting to know people. Our home is casual and cozy. We welcome you to be a part of our home! We are helpful if you need anything, we also respect your need for your own space and privacy. My husband Mike is a retired police officer, he is kind and has interesting & funny police stories. He will always look out for the well-being and safety of his family and our homestay guests. He is also a very creative skilled Silversmith! I recently retired from the salon industry. For 20 plus years, I was also a home stylists , I did interior styling and design . Our tribe consists of our daughter Chelsea, her husband Jacob, their beautiful daughter Luci and a baby boy due this Summer! Our son Luke lives in our bungalow separate from the house, he has beautiful twin girls Blake and Harley. The twins spend Saturday & Sunday here, they are so much fun! Lots of giggles, it can be very lively!… Ok really loud:) and tons of fun! Uhtred our son’s dog is a beautiful Siberian husky, he is the most friendly, gentle boy. Occasionally when our family visits, we make a family meal we may invite you to join us. We often have friends over for dinner and a bonfire on the weekends. Kiki, our 16 year old cat is our furry family member, she keeps to herself and is very sweet. We have a beautiful patio/backyard with a pond and birdbath, many birds, butterflies and dragonflies visit daily! It’s very quiet and peaceful! We live in a very safe, quiet neighborhood, street parking is available. Westfield Plaza Bonita Mall is a 12 minute walk from our house or a 2 minute drive, there is a fitness gym there as well. We are located very close to amazing coffee shops and local restaurants. Bonita/Chula Vista has two golf courses in our area. The Bonita library is a family favorite, adjacent to the library is a wonderful Farmers Market on Wednesdays. The bus stop is a 12 minute walk. There are many walking trails close by, our neighborhood is great to walk. We are 5 minutes to the freeway, very convenient! Thus far, we have hosted many guests from Saudi Arabia, also Australia, USA, Mexico, China, Palestinian Territory and Kuwait! We supply a light breakfast ( Continental) English muffin, tea, coffee, fruit for our guests! We offer the use of our washer and dryer, we supply laundry detergent/fabric softener at no extra cost. We assign one laundry day a week for our guest, your washing day is yours alone! We supply your bedding, towels, hand soap and toilet paper. We have a shared refrigerator/freezer available for you to store your food. We allow cooking, you must clean up immediately, being clean and tidy is a must. Guests are responsible for cleaning their own room and bathroom. A weekly vacuuming and cleaning of the bathroom is required. Guests are responsible for your own transportation, and supplying your lunch and dinner. NO overnight guests, NO pets allowed. We have been hosting since January 2019 and have thoroughly enjoyed being a host family! We are very easy to talk to, if there’s anything bothering you, let us know. Our home is a place to feel comfortable and safe not only for our guests but for our family as well. We cross-post our homestay and get many requests! If you book a few months in advance, we require a $300.00 non-refundable deposit to secure your homestay. When you move in for your scheduled homestay, we will credit your $300.00 deposit towards your rent of $1,300.00. Your rent is due upon move in day, or arrange full month’s payment in advance, then rent is due every 30 days from move in date. Thank you! Mike and Ninette

Be kind and respectful as we would be to you! Clean up after yourselves in the kitchen, keep your room and bathroom tidy. You are responsible for cleaning . Smoke in designated area. No overnight guests, no pets, no drugs. We have never experienced this, however, If for any reason it is not working out, we’ll give you a two week notice to move.
