We are a small family of 3 with the cutest doggie (Scooby, a 3 year old Golden Doodle, who does not shed...he has hair not fur, so no shedding...therefore no allergy issues). Cozy 4 bedroom home with a nice wood burning fire place for cold days and a fantastic back yard with an amazing swimming pool (for hot days) and Jacuzzi hot tub all year round. Air conditioning in the summer for extra comfort. We have a kitchen, living room, dining room, den with fireplace, large basement with a huge TV and its own fireplace, laundry room and 3 bathrooms all to share. 2 cozy guest rooms available for your travel stay in the Ottawa area. This includes a double bed in Guest Room #2 or a single bed in Guest Room #1 which each include a desk and a closet with storage shelves for your belongings, equipped with a television (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus, Etc...). Bedroom doors have keyed locks for privacy. Your own personal fridge space will be made available to you in the home fridge and no one will touch your belongings. The fridge is well organized and all your personal items will be labelled.

1) No street drug use. Alcohol consumption is acceptable within reason. Really, if you use drugs, this home is not for you. 2) You must wash and put away your dishes in the dishwasher. The kitchen will be occupied between the hours of 7am and 8:30am by the host family in order to prepare breakfast, but with a little cooridination and communication between the host family and the guest, we can make arrangements so that you can use the kitchen as well. The kitchen will also be used between 5pm and 6:30pm by the host family in order to prepare supper, but with a little cooridination and communication between the host family and the guest, we can make arrangements so that you can use the kitchen as well. Before or after these times, you are welcome to use the kitchen at liberty. Typically we can accommodate you in the kitchen while we are making meals, but this requires a little pre-planning. Lunches are typically prepared immediately after supper and stored in the the refridgerator until the next day. 3) For food safety and home hygene reasons, food that you make may not be left out on the kitchen counters/table or in your room overnight. All food must be refridgerated overnight. 3) Friends may visit you, but they may not stay over night. You are welcome to have friends over for a swim or to use the hot tub, or in the winter to sit by the fireside to chat or to watch television. Discuss friend visits with the host in advance of the visit so that we can pre-plan to make the space available to the guest. 4) No pets. 5) If you will be arriving/returning to the host home after 11pm on any given day, we ask that you advise the host by 6pm the day of your late return in order to pre-plan so that you have access to our home. 6) If you will be leaving the host home prior to 6am, we ask that you advise the host the day prior. 7) A 25% deposit is required at time of booking directly to this host in addition to your HomeStay.com booking fee. 8) An additional 25% deposit is required 30 days prior to date of arrival directly to this host. If you do not provide this 2nd 25% deposit 30 days prior to arrival, it will be assumed that you no longer want your booking and the 1st 25% deposit is non-refundable. 9) You are entitled to a refund of your 1st 25% deposit if you cancel your booking within 60 calendar days of your date of arrival. Refunds will be sent to you via e-tranfer to your booking email address within 30 days of notification of cancellation. 10) If you choose to pay your 2nd deposit earlier than the 30-day-prior-to-arrival-deadline, you will be entitled to a refund of this 2nd deposit so long as you cancel within the 30-day-prior-to-arrival-deadline. Note that you will not be entitled to your 1st 25% deposit after the 60-day-prior-to-arrival-cancellation-deadline.
