Especially evening meal is a wonderful time to get together while enjoying a good meal. We appreciate very much guests who want to create lasting friendships. We love hosting university students! University of Ottawa and Ottawa center is 35-40min by direct bus connection. The Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) is less then 30min by direct bus or 20 min by bike. Our house is located in the nicest subdivision in Gatineau-Hull. It is a unique architectural house constructed after our own plans. There is a bus stop 5 min away. We have bikes, some skis and skates for guests and the most incredible nature all around us. Our subdivision is quiet, but well equipped with stores of all kinds. We are a family with 3 adult kids (two older are now out of the house, youngest is a student at Ottawa University). I am professional book illustrator. We all speak French and English. My husband and I work from home, so we have time for our guests. We love skiing, hiking, art, outdoors, cooking, gardening and of course music. You can hear our son (22 years) playing piano quite often. We have a beautiful house with a big garden just one street away from the Gatineau Provincial Park and with bike paths leading to the center of the city. We LOVE and do a lot of sports. Cross-country skiing is my favorite. We have access to ski and bike trails starting just across the street. In winter it can be as cold as -30C early in the morning and in summer as hot as +35C in the afternoon! Nearest downhill ski center is 15 min away by car. ADDITIONAL INFO ! Bathroom is semi-private, shared with one guest (if we have another guest). We offer discount for guests staying longer than 4 months. Rebate (50$) starts on the fifth month and is applied every month for the rest of your stay. Please keep in mind that we require our guests to submit us a copy of their ID (before check-in) by email, which will be provided once the booking is confirmed online.
