We have a unique room for you, one group once, no other guests would bother you during your stay. We are located at the west mountains area of Kyoto city, you can enjoy city view, mountains view with amazing sunrise, sunset and night views. We promise to bring you peacefulness and calmness every day during your stay! We have a ground piano and a gym corner in the house. You can enjoy them freely. Shower is available 24hs. Working as a university professor, the host is engaged in research and teaching as well. We like to communicate with our dear guests in English, Japanese and Chinese as well. Some brief transportation information is listed for your reference. Higashikatsurazaka/東桂坂 bus stop is 3min to our house on foot. You can easily find out the optionally instant routes by inputting Higashikatsurazaka bus stop on Google Map. From Kyoto Station, you can take bus No.21/21A(heading for Kyoto University Katsura campus) to Higashikatsurazaka/東桂坂bus stop. In addition, Katsura station/桂駅 (Hankyu train/阪急電車) or JR Katsuragawa station/桂川駅 is about 15min away by bus from Higashikatsurazaka /東桂坂 bus stop. For your living information, a supermarket (イズミヤ桂坂店), a convenience store (Family Mart) and a drug store (ユタカ) are 15min away by walking through a beautiful park. University restaurant is only 5min away by walk. A local popular hot spring with sauna is 3min by bus. Parking is available if you come by a rental car. If time is available, we can supply pickup and delivery service by my car between train stations (JR Katsuragawa station or Hankyu Katsura station ) and our location by additional fees. Holiday season is from Dec.23 to Jan.5. The kitchen is open for guests during this period , the details shown in the rules.
1. Smoking & alcoholic drinks are not allowed. 2. Please keep our home secure and lock doors when leaving the house. 3. Please do not bring other people into our house. 4. Please respect our home and dog as well, but feel comfortable. 5. You can use microwave and fridge for free. 6. Please keep quiet after 10pm. 7. Please separate the trash according to the rules in Japan. 8. Please keep the bedroom, bathroom and shower room clean. 9. Doing laundry need additional fees. (500yen for once, we will do it for you including folding clothes if you need) 10. Please keep the house key in a safe place. Change of door lock may cost you a lot if you lose the key. 11. Check-in is after 3pm. Check-out is before 10am. 12. Please pay the room fee by cash at arrival time. 13. Pick up and delivery service at normal time ( from 8am to 5pm) is available with1000yen from train station (JR Katsuragawa station or Hankyu Katsura station ) to our location, at other time it is 2000yen. 14. For Christmas and New Year’s stay, kitchen is open for guest to cook with the food materials and necessary cooking sources of your own .
