My name is Dusty, and I live alone in a 3 bedroom house in a suburb of San Diego. I inherited this house from my late grandmother who had passed away in it on Mother's day of 2023. Since I live alone I have a spare bedroom (one of the bedrooms I use as an office) and thus figured I could start hosting homestays. Because I live so close to the many colleges in San Diego and there is public transit right on the same street, I believe students would find the accommodation extremely convenient. My hobbies are computers, cooking, and video games. I also enjoy learning languages. I'm fluent in Japanese and learning Chinese along with my native language of English. If you are able to help me improve my language skills I'd be eternally grateful. Also, my mother and grandfather live next door and the neighborhood is extremely friendly. So I believe this would be a very friendly and welcoming exposure to the US and its culture. Finally, since I work overnights it will allow you considerable freedoms to relax on your days off, and to stay up late if you'd like. The bedroom I am renting is furnished with a bed, a dresser with vanity and has a closet as well as window. There's a ceiling fan/light and a night stand with lamp. There's a semi-private bathroom as well. Since the house is down a cul-de-sac there is plenty of parking and my car is parked in the garage so there is no reason to worry about driveway parking.

If you cook, I will expect you to clean or tidy up at least a little bit. Parties will obviously not be allowed without my explicit permission. I will be purchasing groceries to be shared, however there will be a separate fridge you can place items you wish not to share. As well, items you do not wish to share must be marked. Shared spaces are expected to be kept reasonably tidy. Please do your part. If there is any house related maintenence or work going on, I do ask that you be reasonable accommodating and I will do the same.
