Hi there! We are a young couple who live in our homely 3 bed semi-detached house in the city of Portsmouth. Our household is relaxed, cosy and peaceful. We both work full time; some days working from home in our office room, and other days in work. We are always happy to answer any questions and like to make sure our guests make the most out of their stay by enjoying all that our waterfront city of Portsmouth has to offer. Equally, we also like to leave our guests in peace to enjoy the comfort of our home and/or explore the city. We are perfectly situated with easy access in and out of the city and equally close to Southsea beach and the city centre. We are just a 2 minutes walk to a bus stop for transport around the city, and are a stones throw away from the local park, pond, field and local small shops. We have 1 double room and 1 single room available. We look forward to welcoming you as our guest!
* Payment: There will be a 25% deposit arranged via homestay at the point of booking and we kindly ask our guests to pay the outstanding amount of their stay on arrival by bank transfer. *Laundry - We offer our guests 1 load of washing per week. Grey washing baskets are located in each room for dirty washing; we will be happy to wash these for you. Alternatively, we are happy to show you how to use the machine (laundry detergent will be provided). *Bathroom/shower room - We provide a shared shower room which has a shower, sink and toilet (there is no bath). This is used by us your hosts, and our guests. As this is a shared shower room, we kindly ask our guests to keep the shower room clean after each use for all to use comfortably. *Toilet/s - We also have an additional toilet located in the downstairs of our home, should the shower room be occupied. We kindly ask guests DO NOT flush sanitary products down the toilet as this will block the system and we will be unable to use this. A bin is provided next to the toilet for sanitary products to be disposed of. Please keep the toilet clean after use. *Kitchen - We provide juice, tea and coffee for guests to make and help themselves during their stay. We also provide a light breakfast for guests to help themselves and will show guests where items are located in the kitchen. We do not provide our guests lunch or dinner, however, we are happy for our guests to use our microwave to heat up ready made meals or prepare a light snack. Guests can also purchase their lunch from our local sandwich shop called Harpers, from one of our smaller corner shops or purchase a coffee and cake from Beeny’s cafe. *Dining room - We like our guests to feel comfortable and at home so please feel free to make the most of our home where you can spend time in the back dining room. There is a smart TV for your use in the dining room (Netflix, Now TV & Amazon Prime available). There is also an Alexa should you wish to listen to the radio/music. We kindly ask our guests to use the dining table during mealtimes. *Bedrooms - We provide clean bedding and bath towels for your use, these will be washed once a week. We kindly ask you place your rubbish in the bins provided to keep your room tidy as you would at home. We understand that some guests like to bring small snacks and treats from home, we are more than happy for guests to enjoy small snacks and drinks from the comfort of their bedroom. However, we kindly ask guests refrain from eating hot main meals in their room to keep your room clean for your use and future guests. *Garden - We have a spacious west facing garden, which has a large apple tree at the end. Here you can relax and enjoy the sunshine during the spring and summer months where you may hear or spot local birds. We kindly ask guests smoke outdoors in the garden. *General house rules - We kindly ask our guests to keep noise to a minimum after 9pm. We kindly ask guests not to wear their outdoor shoes inside the house. We kindly ask guests to not bring visitors back during your stay. We will provide you with a spare key during your stay. Please ensure you shut the front door behind you each time you leave.
