House of the Patriarch, is located in Vila Nova da Barquinha, in Central Portugal. Rooms are equipped with satellite TV, central heating and a private bathroom. Breakfast is included in the room rate and is served in the breakfast room. Guests have access to the fully equipped communal kitchen where they can prepare their own snacks. It's a family house and we like to receive and share experiences, and in addition to our mother tongue, we speak English and French. In our free time we have diverse interests of recreational and cultural nature. It is a quiet, peaceful environment. In the extensive garden you can relax to the sound of birds under the gaze of curious and hospitable cats. You can also enjoy the winter garden, all glassed that complements the living room and breakfast. Among other places of great interest in our County, you'll find one of the Wonders of Portugal - Almourol Castle; the long, pleasant and excellent place of leisure, rest and culture, Barquinha Park (with Alberto Carneiro sculptures, Cristina Ataide, Fernanda Fragateiro, Joana Vasconcelos, among others) and a few meters from the Patriarch of the House, is the Church Watchtower Matrix - National Monument site with great interest dating from the century. XVI. We operate in Via Lusitana, via which is followed by pilgrims heading to Santiago de Compostela and also on Route Mariana, for pilgrims who come to Fatima. Golegã is a 12-minute drive away and is known for its annual horse fair, Torres Novas is 10 minutes by car and take a 17-minute drive away. Fatima, a renowned pilgrimage site, is 45 km away, and Lisbon International Airport about an hour's drive. The railway station Junction, crossing national and international lines, is just over 5 minutes. In this space there is a hall which hosts many events, from weddings, christenings, dinners, birthdays, presentations covering various areas.
