Here, you’ll find five private rooms available for monthly stays (longer stays preferred), each offering a simple, comfortable space to rest, create, and reconnect. The home is very large, warm and welcoming, with shared common areas for cooking, gathering, or quiet reflection. Our intention is to host people who value authentic connection and belonging — travellers, remote workers, artists, healers, and anyone drawn to the rhythm of nature and community. Mornings often begin with birdsongs and fresh country air. Days unfold in flow — some guests work remotely, others explore local area, create, or share meals around the kitchen table. Evenings invite stillness, conversation, music, or a sauna/cold plunge under the stars. Winter bonfires are simply magical! This home offers both solitude and shared space — you can be as independent or as connected as you like. The surrounding land invites grounding: forest walks, spring-fed water, and quiet places to watch the light change. We ask that guests come with respect for the land, for each other, and for the slower rhythm that life here naturally follows. We’re close to lakes, forest trails, and farmers’ markets, with all essentials nearby. Daily buses from Toronto and Ottawa come to Madoc for only $35. Stay Details * Monthly stays (3-6 months preferred) * $1000/month, includes utilities and Wi-Fi * No pets (to protect the land’s wildlife), non-smoking * Respectful, community-minded guests only * 8-10 volunteer hours/week supporting the home and land “This is a home for those who wish to live simply, breathe deeply, and belong fully.”

House Rules No smoking or vaping inside the house or on the property. No pets or animals, to respect the land’s wildlife and maintain a calm environment for all guests. No parties, or disruptive gatherings. Dancing, singing and being joyful is always welcome. Quiet hours: 11 PM – 7 AM. Please keep shared spaces clean and return dishes, tools, and utensils after use. Contribute 10 hours/week to garden and land care, depending on the season (watering, planting, harvesting, stacking wood, trail upkeep, etc.). Be considerate of others — respect personal space, privacy, and the shared rhythm of the home. Use the wood stove, appliances, and shared equipment responsibly. No open flames (candles) anywhere inside the house for safety.
