Our family lives in a quiet, leafy suburb on a peninsular 9km from the centre of Sydney. Our home is a large 6 bedroom house with a pool and table tennis table. We have 3 children all in their 30's - and all are now living away from home. My husband usually works in New Zealand coming back to Sydney every few weeks. We often have other travellers staying so you can expect to meet some interesting people if you stay here. We are originally from New Zealand but now love the climate and way of life in Australia, especially Sydney. The area where we live is very safe and is conveniently accessed by a bus service. The bus takes 30 mins to the city centre. There is also a ferry service with a limited timetable that serves our peninsular. The ferry wharf is an easy 5-10 min stroll away. It is a wonderful way to travel into the city and only takes 20 mins. You can use your Opal card or credit card on the ferry. Our street is wide with little traffic. If you come by your own car parking is not a problem. If you are arriving at the airport I can pick you up from the St Leonard's train station.
We do not like smoking and would prefer non smoking guests. Short (5min) showers - Australia is a very dry country and we all try to conserve water. If using a heater at night please turn it off when you go to sleep. Check-in time is between 2 - 10pm unless you advise otherwise and the room is available.
