Thanks for visiting my listing. I include many facts as when I travel & look for room I ignore those with only 50 words. Was fully booked 5star airbnb host for 5 years but no longer wish deal with " minor dust in corner" reviews for cheap,leading city, accommodation. Room good as ever but can't bend to those 'last corners' any more. A 4 star hotel in France at $400/night may have more dust! So take me as you find me--- cheap, cheerful, sometimes with dust in one corner but always clean bathroom, meal and wine to offer if you are tired and good breakfast included.The reviews on this website attest my love of guests and helping. Sans Souci has a ' Je ne sais quoi' about it. Locals know it's special. Sans Souci means 'Without Worry' which describes the lovely suburb surrounded by water on 3 sides, 6K ex International airport (house not on flightpath), 13K to city, bus/ train to city 1 block. For Londoners, like Richmond to Westminster by train, for New Yorkers Upper West Side to Penn Station with nicer travel views. NB. "Central" on Sydney train map is NOT central of where you will want to sightsee, eg. it is VERY LONG walk Central to the Opera House, 3 stations more on our train line take you closer to city landmarks. Please Double - check location on HOMESTAY map BEFORE booking to CHECK OK location for you, do not book as cheapest out of city & then review Location badly, Sans Souci is better than that. Living here is like being on holiday next to the water. I offer a drive of area to show bus stops. Miles of beaches to walk/ swim on Botany Bay where Captain Cook landed 1770, gentle waves, not commercialism of Bondi, surf at North Cronulla Beach is Bondi of the south, much better beach OR can get direct train to Bondi (45mins). I welcome older visitors as well as younger. NO WASHING UP. PROFESSIONAL CAREER IN HOSPITALITY, BATHROOM AND KITCHEN SANITISED daily, even before Lockdown, sanitised here. Breakfast in dining room, self-serve time you wish, eggs for you to cook Bar fridge/freezer, tea/coffee/water in room Towels. Bed linen. TV/DVD combo. Wifi. Many power points Clothes hanging, side table, lamp, chair, luggage rack Ceiling fan,smoke alarms,first-aid kit,security shutters & screens exterior doors & windows. Very quiet area after 7p.m. Pool, garden, outdoor seating/smoking areas. Pool USE 8am to 9p.m. Plenty free street parking. NB. DESIGNATED SMOKING AREAS, outdoors and 1 at back door SO IT MAY NOT SUIT SOME GUESTS. Do not book if disapprove smoking. Room & view as in photos. Bed is sofabed with normal depth mattress not thin sofabed (guests tell me it is comfy & I slept on to know). Sleeping area leads from your dining area. Comfy,quiet and private. Bathroom shared. Happy to rustle up light meal if you have missed dinner or tired on arrival as know how it is when travelling as I use Homestay too --- may only be light snack but home-cooked and complimentary.
N.B: ID such as Passport required on arrival N.B. For Bookings 1st Dec 2018 to 31st Jan. 2019 inclusive -- 50% non-refundable deposit required to confirm booking by bank transfer to the host after confirmation of successful booking by Homestay.com. No booking is definite unless a deposit as specified is received. Deposits regrettably necessary due to the number of very short - notice cancellations at peak periods when well-reviewed accommodation has been reserved a long time in advance and then can't be re-let at such short notice. Nonetheless, you will still find that I am an enthusiastic host who will encourage & show you all the things that Sydney has to offer, especially for those on a low budget as I know Sydney well & how to minimise costs as have done with my family when travelling. There are no extra fees when staying with me right down to a glass of wine or doing your laundry. Treat neighbours with consideration of no loud noise after 9 p.m. Smoking allowed at back door area and patios Pool use 9.a.m. to 7p.m. If ladies wear stiletto shoes please be kind enough to take off before walking on wooden floor of room.
Bay view, fridge/tea/coffee/milk in room, ground floor. Smoking area under cover or at pool. I only do enough hosting to cover my costs of the same on a London trip. I don't do it for profit, only to cover a London stay.
