Warm and hospitable stay in a stylish old town house with its own garden, located in a private condominium in a quiet and safe neighbourhood within Paris intramuros. The refurbished bedroom occupies the whole 2nd floor of the house and grants a complete privacy - ideal for someone who wants to study or work in a quiet environment, when not simply rest after a full day wandering throughout the city. The WIFI connection is excellent in the room. The bathroom is private but not on the same floor as the bedroom, which makes this accommodation not suitable for elderly guests. There is another single bed (under the one you see on the picture) which can accommodate an extra guest (family or friend) for an additional price to be agreed and settled directly with the host, but only for a short stay. Sheets, towels and a bath gown are provided every week. A hairdryer is also available. Laundry and cleaning is done on a weekly basis. The room fee includes access to the kitchen as well as access to the conservatory when you do not want to spend time in the room. During Spring and Summer time, the shady garden is a perfect place for a cup of tea or a drink at the end of the day if you are not tempted by the pub or the bistrot across the street. The minimum stay is 3 nights. For single students ONLY on a long term stay (from 3 to 9 months), a preferential rate is granted according to the duration of the stay. As you will see from my reviews, I am used to hosting international travellers, foreign students or just citizens of the world (except French ones), for short or long period up to 9 months, and I greatly enjoy helping them discover the city for a full immersion in French culture and habits according to their areas of interest. For those learning or improving their knowledge of the language, I provide French lessons according to level and frequency, these to be discusssed and settled directly with the host. I am French, retired, speak fluent English, understand Spanish and a little German, but above all, I am an unconditional green and pet lover .

BOOKING Your request will be accepted only if you are legal age and if your profile shows a clear picture. Once you have contacted the host and have received confirmation that the room is available, complete your booking online with Homestay who will then send you a confirmation email. At that stage only, can guest and host exchange personal contact details, such as mail and telephone. Your are requested to provide a photocopy of your passport (or your ID card) and flight details showing arrival and departure times. If you are coming for education purposes, a civil liability insurance and a copy of the university or business school registration are requested a well. A set of keys can be lent to you with a guarantee deposit of 300€ to be refunded when you return the keys at the time of your departure. RESERVATION - for a short term stay : once the booking has been confirmed with Homestay, room fare has to be settled directly with the host at least ten days prior to arrival, date to be confirmed by the guest and agreed by the host at the time of registration with Homestay. - for a long term stay (more than 8 weeks) : the room fee can be settled on a monthly basis on the 10th of each preceding month and a guarantee deposit corresponding to 25% of the amount due for the entire stay will be requested at the time you book Homestay. CANCELLATION The first thing is to INFORM your host and Homestay.com who will update and free the host calendar. If you cancel your reservation during your stay, the total remaining days are due. The GUARANTEE DEPOSIT is not refundable if the guest breaks any house rules, if the room fee is not settled on time or if the guest leaves earlier than the departure date. If you settle the room fee on a monthly basis, a month’s notice must be respected and ideally a replacement must be found, otherwise the total remaining days are due for half the full monthly price without the reduction granted for a long stay. VARIOUS HOUSE RULES Checking-in is to be done after 3 pm and before 8:00 pm and checking-out is to be done before 11 am. However, exceptions can be made for long distance flights and luggage can be kept until the time of your departure. Please let your host know about your move in and out of the house, especially if you expect to come home beyond 9 pm. Do not invite strangers into the house. Please, keep the bedroom, the shower room and the kitchen perfectly clean and tidy after you are finished. Time and use of the kitchen is to be set with your host and is not allowed after 9 pm or during the night. Any damages you may cause will have to be replaced or refunded and you will be given an invoice for your civil liability insurance. Please keep your street shoes at the bottom of the stairs. No food, drinks other than water, no washing and no ironing in the room. No noise or bursts of voices after 9:30 pm (house, garden and private alley). Hosting is not just a business. It is also an art and I will do my best so you enjoy your stay in my home and keep a wonderful memory from your visit in Paris.
