Skay's Camp is the resident home of Satyendra and Kay (Kathleen Mary Hassall) Tiwari and houses a small lodge run by both with the help of Satyendra’s brother Hariom and his wife Sonu and daughters Munmun and Mahi. Skay’s Camp is one of the few lodges in Tala (Bandhavgarh National Park) run by residents of the area. Skay's Camp consists of seven double rooms with running hot and cold water and is located within the old Tala village off the main street. A small number of local staff helps maintain the land and run the kitchen. Satyendra and Kay endeavour to run the facilities in as eco friendly way as possible. Rooms have emergency lighting when power cuts strike and the land has WiFi connectivity. Skay’s camp has gained a Quality grading under TOFT (Tour Operators for Tigers U.K.) You will be welcomed in to a family home where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the garden and orchards amongst birds, butterflies and flowers and partake of the fruits and vegetables that grows throughout the year on the land. You may also enjoy informal talks and stories around the campfire and browse Satyendra's photographic display and Kay’s artwork for your interest or simply relax as you wish amongst the calm surroundings. Skay's Camp caters for individuals, couples and small groups offering personal attention at all times. Satyendra and Kay’s knowledge of the park, its tigers and other inhabitants are unsurpassed. You will leave much more knowledgeable about the tiger’s plight and the full story of Bandhavgarh than through others. Satyendra and Kay offer Jungle plan inclusive of accommodation, meals, park entry fee, vehicle for park drives and guiding. Elephant rides and tiger shows, trips to the Fort plateau, tips and expenditures of personal nature such as laundry and beverages etc are extra. There are two park drives per day, which give visitors a chance to see a variety of wildlife and also the beauty of Bandhavgarh. Though a tiger sighting cannot be guaranteed on every occasion, we can say that few visitors leave disappointed from Bandhavgarh and it is usually a question of how many rather than did you see one. We have many long-term stay and return clients who come to India to experience true wildlife watching and gather genuine information on the park situation. Satyendra also works with photographers who value his skills as a wildlife photographer himself. We offer competitive tariff to those who wish to travel direct to the Heart of India, Land of the Tiger. For further information and tariff please contact us at any time and we will be happy to assist in planning your Tiger Tour.
